Onwards and Downwards Continues in May 2013

Hello all,

Well, it looks like spring has finally arrived. I hope some of you are able to get out and about more. It is a well known fact that more exercise is a great way to help shed those pounds.

What is your favourite way of getting some fresh air?

We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.

Don't forget your weekly weigh on Wednesday and remember we don't judge!

Keep forgetting to post on here! Ive lost 16 lb in 10 weeks now so I'm pretty happy with that x

My favourite way of getting fresh air is sitting at an outdoor café in the sun but that isn't what you wanted to hear.

Onion soup eh X ? May try that. Presently got a combination of veg bought last weekend, and kept cool since. I'm going to try a variation of the one I did last time which was ok but needed to be a bit thicker, and more of it (only got 4 bowls last time).
Well done OG and Madyup!! I've gone up a pound, which was expected due to my treats this week.
Ed, my favourite way of getting fresh air is walking along the sea wall which is miles away from cars and civilisation. And are you still trying to lose weight?
Ed: Why not order a glass of white wine and a salad instead, close your eyes and pretend you are in Spain..........

Another pound down - though it's more like half a pound a week - and so sorely tempted to stray
This was in a novel I am reading...remember the three S's for loosing weight and keeping it off:

I was slowing losing this week. Then a Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday came along :-(
Thats the trouble OG, you binge just for one day and pay for it for a week, thats how long it took me to shift what I put on after the kebab and chocolate fest of last week, im now back on track and feeling good :-)) fingers crossed for tomorrow all!!

Oh dear. I'm shockingly up and don't understand how it could be so much. It's not a very nice way to start the day.

I have been exercising regularly for over a week, cut down on my bread and apart from two lunches away have really been following my rules. The lunches were not the best of healthy eating but certainly don't merit this gain. :-(
Nooooo. With you xstitcher. I've put last week's, so hard to lose, lb back on again this week.

I've done nothing but eat healthily this week, its really disappointing. Even the Bank Holiday was spent gardening and eat salads. I lost well for a year and still need to lose a couple of stone. How to kick start serious weight loss any tips?
Good Morning both I have got the kick start I wanted 2lbs off, MAYDUP for the past year I have been playing about with this stone staying the same and I blamed the cold weather. I have cut down on bread and have had quite a few salad meals but still had a few small potates with it. I said I was going to open that chocolates but not yet. I have a bbq to go to on Saturday so I need to be careful.
Xstitcher it is so disappointing when you think you may have gained a little but to find you have gained more that you expected is disheartening but I know you will rectify it .
Well done Wendilla, 2lbs is a great result this morning. Have a good but careful BBQ at the weekend.

I see mixed results so far today with some doing very well.

Unfortunately, after starting the week so well, the previously mentioned Sunday/Bank Holiday Monday happened, and I'm up ⅛ lb for the week. (But now going down again.)
