Onwards and Downwards Continues in April

Sorry we are a bit late this month busy, busy, busy!

I have noticed quite a few new members over the last couple of months so welcome to you all and we are glad to have you here to help and be helped:

JimJools, maggibee, notafish, daffy654, lillymoon, jules001, spotit3 and maidup

if I have missed anyone I apologise.

As the days are getting longer and warmer does anyone find it a bit easier to be good and eat more fruit and veg and not pile up on the stodgy food that is so tempting in the winter months?

Here is last months thread

Oh dear, I have been a really naughty girl.I had been doing so well and don't know what happened but suddenly had a terrible craving for a bun. Of course one led to another and now I feel really bad about it. They wouldn't even have been in the house only someone brought me a packet last night and I intended to give them away but too late!!
Never mind spotit3 - drink your grapefruit juice and walk twice round the block tomorrrow! Are you feeling better after your flu?
Good luck for tomorrow everyone! I've been good most of the week so I'm hoping I will have lost a pound tomorrow.
Do we all have to get weighed tomorrow?
Feeling much better thanks, Maidup. I fully intend to take the dog for a long walk tomorro, weather permitting. Just hope when I weigh tomorrow my good behaviour since last Wednesday will have paid off.
You don't have to get weighed on a Wednesday. Xstitcher and Wendilla started the idea of weighing on a Wednesday morning, but some people prefer their own weighing days, for various reasons e.g they might have a specific day for going to a slimming club.
Miss P - I joined a couple of weeks ago and weighed on the Wednesday along with others on here. If you do the same in the morning that'll give you a great starting point and then next week you'll be able to post your loss which I just know you're going to acheive. If nothing else, start with no sweets, cakes, biscuits or desserts and you'll notice the difference. Good luck.
Good Morning All,

No result for me this morning because my scales needs new batteries and I won't be able to get them before earliest next Tues. as it is Holy Week here in Spain and to drive to Fuengirola to get these flat batteries would be sheer madness. The place is packed with tourists and finding a parking space is near impossible.
As my eating has been not very honourable this past week I shall pretend I have weighed myself and place myself on the naughty step. I do hope that I shall be alone there. Watch out for those Easter Eggs and chocolate rabbits as they must be lethal. Onwards and downwards.....
Morning xstitcher and sorry to hear about your batteries, how frustrating for you.

I'm delighted with a 1.5lb loss this morning and feel confident that I'm strong enough to be good over Easter now! I will have the half Easter Egg I've promised myself (splitting it with OH who's not bothered about them but will eat it if its there) but I can feel my desire for chocolate reducing. No doubt we will have a meal out here or there too, but I'll get plenty of salad in and get myself out for a walk.
Good luck today everyone.
Good Morning all Spotit that is what I mean by if it's there it will worry me and I will eat it. I put my x buns in the freezer as I like them toasted but I have only had one.

Missprim the reason Xstitcher and I made Wennesday weigh day as when we started this 2 years ago we found that if we were a bit naughty foodwise over the weekend we had till wednesday to try and rectify it.

Maid up well done on your loss.

xstitcherI I won't be joining you on the naughty step I have stayed the same which I don't deserve too as I had fish and chips last Friday and slipped up a few times but have had salad most of this week but I am going out to dinner tonight so it might all catch up with me for next week weigh in.
Well Done, Maidup on your loss and you for at least not putting on Wendilla and defnintely in future I intend to keep all tempation well hidden. Having said that I couldn't believe it when I weighed myself, I have lost 1lb today. Feel so good now just getting ready for a walk.
Back on the downward trend this week with 2lb off, thank goodness. Missprim, I do my shopping on line and as it is just me I make sure I do not order anything that would tempt me to stray. I am like you I can't open a packet and just have one! No Easter eggs for me this year. Good luck all and have a nice Easter.
Well done everyone so far today.

There's a lesson here I think. If you're good for most of the week, you can afford the odd treat once in a while. Its good for you to enjoy life as much as it is to be slimmer, but its about control isn't it. You can have fish and chips or a scone as long as you keep it as a special occaision in your mind and have the will power not to do it again for a week. (And to walk it off) :-)
Well done Jan I knew you would get back on track and yes Maidup this is what I have always stressed that you must have a treat because if you don't you will start binging again. My treat for this week is girls night out for dinner tonight but I won't be drinking as I am driving.
Thanks wendilla and well done Maidup, nearly missed you there. I agree, you do have to treat yourself now and again and I save mine for the occasional night out when I have a couple of glasses of wine or vodka and diet coke. Hope you enjoy your girls night out wendilla.
Well done to the losers, especially Jan for losing 2lb!!. I'm surprised I've stayed the same as I was eating a lot of salad and fruit this week. I was expecting a loss. Sometimes it takes a week for it to show on the scales though. I wonder where Old Geezer is.
Yes Notafish I was wondering that too.
Yes I have also missed the Old Geezer....maybe he is on a winter holiday.
Or he's given up and thrown those damn scales of his away! :-)
I hope he comes back. I liked to read his posts; I enjoy reading everybody's ideas and tips.
