This guy who knows my sister started talking to me a couple of weeks ago and the first time we started talking he was saying how beautiful i am, i just said thanks but thought it was a bit weird to say that first time round.. maybe he's just a charmer, i dont know! but the thing is we never speak at school, only on facebook which is weird, he is in his last year and i am in my second last year and we only have two classes together but never talk. i don't know if i want to, i like him but not anymore than a friend.. i wouldn't even count him as a close friend but i do appreciate him and he is a generally nice guy. he was the one who first started talking to me and he's always making conversation as if he does want to get to know me more but i just don't want to lead him on. he asked me today if i wanted to meet up during the summer and i just hate being horrible to him so i just said i didn't know what i was doing yet. i don't know if he actualy does fancy me, i don't think i'm a big looker but then again we all have low self-esteem apparently, but i just want to be friends. how do i tell him, and what happens if i do tell him and it turns out he doesn't actually fancy me? i find the situation really awkward but he doesn't seem to think so..

Just say you're happy to meet him for coffee as mates but nothing more and apologise if that sounds presumptious of you but you just wanted to be clear. No point in letting things fester, just be direct.
why do you have to tell him? If you're happy being his mate meet up with him in summer, if its gets to more and you dont want to know tell him then. You never know you may grow to like him.
I'd say he probably fancies you but is too shy to actually speak to you in real life.... but yeah just keep the friendship going, it isn't awkward until something officially happens that confirms he wants more than friendship, and you can deal with that in due course... Good luck :)
you could always make up an excuse every time he asks you to hang out like you have an appointment or something, eventually he'll realize you don't want to hang out with him and he'll just give up
