You know how people say that it's bad to spend less time with your friends when you get into a relationship? Is this true, or is it just something that single people say when they feel left out?
Is it normal to see less of your friends in order to spend more time with your partner?
Obviously i don't mean start ignorning them all together and turning down all their offers to do stuff with you. I just mean seeing less of them.

It will happen naturally if your partner is the right one for you. When you settle down and have kids you will spend (and want to) spend time with your partner!

At the end of the day, all friendships will do this, but friends understand too! Obviously take time out and spend with your friends, but relationships are important too! ;0)
Basically the reason for this is, that when the relationship is over you dont suddenly realise that all your friends are gone and you only know his friends.

In which case you will be very lonely.

I do agree with both these answers, what usually happens is that if the relationship unfortunately breaks down friends don't always take kindly to suddenly having your company again when before you may have been too busy for them! Its best to try and enjoy both your partner and your friends time if possible.
if your pals are understanding enough they will see that you need to divide your time equally between them both. Can you not suggest nights out as couples maybe? that way it everyone happy!
You may see them a little less than usual, but do not totally cut them off. You need to still have a life eventhough you are in a relationship. Talk to your BF and let him know that you would like to designate days when you go out with your friends and sometimes you may want to include him if you have friends that are in relationships. Take my advice (REALLY) this is were I messed up in my relationship and when I looked up, my husband cheated on me and I had noone to go out with to keep my mind off of what he did. I had to reach out to those people again for support because the one person I thought would never hurt me, DID!
