I had the hangover from hell yesterday. My head was splitting after drinking my bodyweight in Champagne on Saturday night. But I think I have found the best hangover cure to date. It was:-

- a whole carton of freshly squeezed orange juice
- a turkey club sandwich (freshly made by boyfriend)
- a chicken burger from local 'American Chicken' bar with extra mayo
- a vanilla milkshake
- lying on sofa with king size duvet
- watching 'Juggernaut' followed by 'The Poseidon Adventure'

Hey presto!! I felt right as rain after that.

What's your hangover cure?

Sugary tea and salty crisps! And a really good lie in followd by a long shower! And I'm back to normal!

Vey sugary tea and digestive biscuits, duvet on sofa and hot water bottle(purely for comfort!).

greasy fry up or just bacon butty. Has to be made by someone else, usually my best mate or my partner. Lots of cups of hot sweet tea too. Oh and why is it the older you get the worse the hangovers are?
yesterday its had to be loads of crumpets with marmite, a tomato and cucumber salad a big bag of cherries and finished of with more crumpets with marmite and cheese (loads of lime and fizzy water thourght the day) and lounging on sofa watching anything big brother related

Actually, redcrx, I find that I rarely suffer from hangovers these days. This is first one in a long time. My worst hangovers was when I was aged 23-26. Probably because I mixed drinks back then which I just don't do now.

I mixed drinks something terrible when i was 18+, made cocktails from advacaat, vodka and blue curacao (pretty colours) etc etc. and yet Id be up at 8am the next dy as if nothing happened.

Now im 15 years on i feel worse each time i drink. maybe its because im just not used to it anymore then

a big greasy bacon and egg sandwich and lying in bed all day followed by a nice cold shower

*to wash away the naughty beer smells*

I used to boast that I had never ever had a hangover - then I hit 30!! Now although rare, when I get one - boy do I get a stinker!!

I'm most definitely the opposite, kazzi. I used to stay in bed all day with my hangovers previously. Oh, and sickness like you wouldn't believe! But these days I'm fine. Nothing that a big of grub and a lazy day in front of the tv doesn't cure. ;o)

Honestly, the best cure is a hair of the dog. Unfortunately, if you have to go to work/drive somewhere it's not practical.

In that situation, A pint of milk and a mars bar will cure all. And take on plenty of fluid throughout the morning.

Just sleep sleep and more sleep for me. I have been told though that taking a ibruprofen tablet before bed reduces your chances of a hangover the next day.

I was also meant to move home yesterday. I didn't shift off the sofa until 6.30pm so the house move was very last minute!
Salt and Vinegar crisps and a can of Irn-Bru, does the trick!
Get out of bed and force yourself into a shower. Be really thorough to feel extra clean, and brush teeth, mouthwash the lot. Fill a glass with ice cubes and leave to melt for a little bit. If you're a bloke (this is quite crude), have a w**k (told you). This works wonders. Sip the ice cubes as they melt, and makle some toast and marmite. Right as rain in no time.
...2 anadin extra and a pint of water BEFORE bed.... in the morning a bottle of original lucozade and a punnet of strawberries(in season) or a pineapple ...for vit C.....
