i do think it looks quite nice and not 'emo' it can look quite pretty? if i chose to close it up how big would the hole/mark be left be? the same as your ear lobe or bigger?

I've never seen anyone with it done, but the tragus is cartilage, where the ear lobe is soft flesh - so I imagine that any hole there might take longer to close over if you change your mind.
Why not get stick on body gems and then you can adapt to suit outfit or occasion.
and there's all sorts of interesting places that they can be inserted.......just google ----y piercings for the images.....unbelievable what some folk have done.
HI
the tragus is pretty painful at the moment of piercing and usually comes with a pretty loud pop but then after a day or two its fine as long as you are careful not to catch it on anything or play with it too much, but you do have to be REALLY careful with keeping it clean as any major infection here is apparently pretty bad as it is connected more to your hearing i think. I am not sure how bit the hole would be if you chose to let it close up but those bits of your ear are barely noticebable anyway unless you have them pierced! I think they look really pretty too!
(anyone else have to google tragus?)

Yes Chuck - I did. LOL
yep, me chuck. My older son has his ear pierced in various locations around his lug but I THINK he's avoided his tragus.
Had mine done nearly ten years ago and didn't really hurt from what I remember. The conch did hurt though! Still wear them now.
lots of ear piercings always look a bit rough to me
I've never had that bit done, but I did have the outer cartilage bit pierced years ago and it was bloomin agony! I tend to sleep on my side and I'd roll onto that ear during the night and wake up almost screaming with the pain. You also have to remember it's a layer of skin, then cartilage then more skin and putting the earring in can be very tricky - for some reason the 3 holes never seemed to line up with me and I had to do a lot of rummaging around to get the earring through - which meant I was in pain before I'd even got out the door!
Is it me or has the world gone mad?
smurfy.....nothing wrong with the world........just the people in it.
my daughter has her tragus pierced and I think it looks lovely. I have considered getting mine done. it's no difference (she says) to any other ear piercing (ouch, hot, stingy!) and it healed well.
Hear hear sqad
I think it looks nice...as long as you don't have too many other piercings in your ears.
I can't believe people pay somebody to punch holes in their body parts.
I just don't get it.
lol, some of you sound about 90!
