its my birthday today, and my boyfriend was joking around saying that as i was born at 7pm i only get 5 hours of birthday and that i didnt get a roll over of the rest into the 18th...
and i said what if you were born at 11.55pm? you would only get 5 mins birthday...and he said you'd just have to deal with it....

hes joking of course...but do you think your birthday 'starts' at midnight on the date, or the actual time...?

its not my birthdate today is it...its my birthDAY...which is 24 hours...

(this is all a bit of fun by the way, im not really worried or anything haha)

thanks.

im going out now so im not being ignorant if i dont reply for a while
No...it's your birthday from midnight and you can celebrate it for 3 days or more.
According to Ummm's theory I'm still celebrating.
As I had the foresight to be born at 7.10 am, I have the good fortune to be able to celebrate a 'full' day. :o)
pmsl @ ummmm ...

I'd say it's the whole date on which your Birthday falls, not from the moment of birth.

If you're really lucky, like the Queen, or Dotty, you can have more than one.
Society - the best day for your birthday to fall is a Wednesday.

You can't expect a big fuss on a Wednesday...so you make plans for the weekend. Because it's your Birthday on the Wednesday...OH has to take you out for a meal...and pay for said celebrations at the weekend :-)
Happy Birthday joko ! However long it lasts :-)))
As a child I always used to feel sorry for those born on Xmas Day (apart from Baby Jesus, of course).
Many happy returns joko.
tell your bf that he might get a present if you're allowed to celebrate it all day!
My Mum and my niece both have birthdays on Christmas Day.
Have a Happy Birthday lovely, and yeah I reckon you could wrangle two days out of it, one of your date and one the following 24 hours after you were born;-)
Happy birthday, make it last as long as you want
