My friend has just this week been diagnosed with cancer.
She is due to go on a group coach trip to Germany next week. Does anybody know if her travel insurance will be invalid? She has not yet had any treatment.
I do not wish to ask my friend about her travel insurance. Unfortunately I do not know the name of the travel company that the coach trip has been arranged through, so cannot ask them directly.
Sorry for such sketchy details, but hopefully somebody be able to offer some advice.

Depends on the company & the policy ... She'll need to phone them and give 'em an update on her details.
It depends what type of cancer she has and is it going to cause any problem while she is away. I was diagnosed with breast cancer - my travel insurance did not cover me for the cancer , but for everything else - but it was not going to affect me in the 2 weeks I was away. I know a friend had bowel cancer and she told me she was cover for her heart problem but not her cancer. So ask your travel insurance company.
there are several answers to this on one of your other matching threads btw.
Hi. Yes, her travel insurance could be invalid unless she declares the cancer. She will need to declare her cancer condition to her travel insurer to make sure that she gets comprehensive cover. If she has not got travel insurance already, she could try a specialist cancer insurer like AllClear Travel www.allcleartravel.co.uk. Hope that helps a bit and that your friend enjoys her trip!
