I've got an appointment....luckily.!
-- answer removed --
I had to stop because our local setup didn't give appointments and I had to wait 3 HOURS to give last time.
-- answer removed --
can't do it now, I have hot flushes and dizzy spells due to the jolly old time of life.

There's nothing on the form to tell you what you can and can't do. What about smoking etc?
Question Author
And eating before you go. My OH said it'll be a good idea to have a substantial lunch today.

u can smoke & eat but lay off booze 24h before blood letting. Will take 1h with tea & bikkies after.
I quite often miss my appointment, and just have to wait my turn.

Take a book, or a newspaper !!

Don't try to jog home !

Is it ok to drive?
I made 78 donations before ill health stopped, most of them at the time you just turned up and waited and I quite looked forward to seeing the my twice a year friends. In regards to eating etc I always carried on as normal and afterwards it was straight to the pub to replenish my fluid level fluid

I think that's why he was telling me to make sure I have a large lunch. If I carry on as normal eating will be a bit hit and miss..

I'm having a pate salad at the moment...
Well ummmm, I dont know what the recomendation is now a days but for years the nearest centre was in the next village about 5 miles away and I never had any trouble driving, so long as you have your cuppa, biscuits and a few minutes sit down you should be alright
Question Author
I'm parking my car about 10 mins walk away just in case.

Thanks everyone...
