left over symptoms from a broken ankle ...

I wonder if Sqad is out there, or can anyone else help. I broke my ankle 3 months ago. The fracture has now healed, but my ankle ligaments/tendons are very taut, so I am doing lots of exercises to loosen them up. However, my foot is still swollen and I have been told that it will remain so until the ligaments get more elastic. My foot isn't painful or anything, just swollen .... I was told by my physiotherapist (and the doctor at the Fracture Clinic) that it would take quite a while for everything to resolve back to normal.

Any thoughts out there? Thanks in advance, Chox

Are you suggesting that your doc and physio have given you duff advice and need someone on here to tell you what you want to hear
Mine took a good couple of years until it felt anywhere near recovered and It still feels a little tight at full extension (so to speak) about 10years later.
Ankle fractures are bloody awful and may take months or even years to settle.

Chuck`s experience is not unusual.
