My concern is what we do with broken eggs. If boxes are weighed and labelled and sealed then the supermarket will end up throwing away whole boxes just because of one broken egg (not that food waste has ever particularly concerned Brussels).
some places already sell eggs in fours, I ve bought them in 10s 12's 15s 18's and 24s so I don't think it is worth getting all worked up about....At the end of the day you are buying your eggs in multiples of the natural unit of egg ie an EGG
I don't know if you are deliberately missing the point, which is that MEPs have voted against any exception in new regulations for all member states government the sale of foodstuffs by weight, meaning that apples, eggs, range, bread rolls etc. will no longer be allowed to be sold by number.
