Hi because she has a food phobia and it was advised by somebody who also has a toddler with the same problem and it helped her gain weight also gave her all the vitamins that she needed.
What does the health visitor or your local pharmacist suggest? what works for one child might not be recommended for another child.
Question Author
Im not sure yet as it was only suggested this evening to me.
Seems not recommended for children under 12months,

so she drinks anything then?
so why not make drinks from food for her?
Question Author
It would be the problem with taste, if it dosn`t take like banana milkshake then she wont have it.
but complan has a taste!
youre daughter really needs to get her child back to the consultant. If things are as bad as you say then some serious action will need to be taken before she gets much older.
lots of 2 yearr olds go through a fussy stage has food phobia actually been diagnosed?
Question Author
I will be getting the vanilla one then adding banana milkshake powder to it to disguise the vanilla flavour. She has been diagnosed with being a very fussy eater, not sure if they have to actually use the word " phobia " to diagnose, but she is due back to the consultant this month.
all 2 year olds are fussy eater some stage i must stress do not under any circumstances give building drinks without a doctors go ahead many products contain excess sugar and salt
i would monitor any weight loss only then does it become an issue
tamirra, i understand that youre trying everything you can but do not give your grandchild complan.
Go with your daughter to the consultant appointment and write down your concerns to put to them
if this child likes thick shakes, then shove what you can into it by way of fruit and veg and carbs. But none of this fortified stuff unless prescribed by a doctor.
Question Author
I have spoken to the pharmacist at my local chemist and he too wouldnt supply me with any until i had spoken to the g.p first, so thank you for advising me right, much appreciated. I will be going with my daughter on Weds to the doctor to speak to him about other shakes for her to build her up, but on prescription only. Thanks again.
