Feeling a bit down today as my best friend who I also work with is about to hand her notice in...
We work very closely all day every day - and I trained her - she is my best friend, who I tell everything to. and she has been unhappy here for some time and has found an amazing new job in London earning much more money.

The bosses will automatically know that I have known this for a while - and not told them...

I really dont know what i will do in 2010 without her....

It must be difficult, but try to be pleased for her. If she has been unhappy in her current job, this is great news for her. I'm sure you will still keep in touch.

Thanks chaps.... I know it is for the best for her - I am so proud of her.. she is hungry for new challenges and wants to experience London life for a while... Because I trained her and we work on the same clients we have obviously grown very close over the years - she is like my right arm!

I really dont know how I will cope without her.. feel like blubbing just writing this - how daft am I!!!!

I guess I should be grateful I got to spend every day at work with my best friend!!

We have both been really unhappy for a while here - not appreciated etc etc. But its a big leap to make.. and during a recession too

2009 has been a pretty tough year.. and very stressful at times.. luckily we have had each other to lean on for support and help.

She is bricking it about asking to see both the bosses though!!!

she is going to do it in writing.. and yes.. I agree.. I should be asking for more money!
To be honest - I dont think they will replace her... as other acount handlers here are not busy and have room for more workload. so the company will be 'saving' on her salary...

maybe they could send some of it my way!
