How is this procedure carried out ? Is it actual surgery and is one eye done under anaesthetic as day surgery and the other eye at a later date ? Has anyone any experience of this operation and would you recommend it ? It's not for cataracts, just for long - and short - sightedness.

It's exactly the same op. Generally day case, local anesthesia, takes about 30 mins. Most will do the eyes on seperate dates. Only problem is that you will need reading glasses afterwards unless you are getting a multifocal implant.
