I have been on the pill for 4 years now (Marvelon), and i was wondering if there is any long term damage of being on it for a long time? I am 22 now and chances are i could be on it for a good 5 years or more. Is this safe? I would definately like to have kids one day and am worried it will affect my fertility.
Thanks for any responses.

Hi Natalie

I was taking the pill for around 10 years off and on.  The first time I came off it was after about 6 years when I had my first child.  I went back on the pill afterwards for another couple of years until I had my 2nd child.  I had no problems conceiving and both times fell pregnant within a month of finishing the pill.

I'm no medical expert, but I don't think there is a risk to your fertility when taking the pill for x amount of years.  There certainly wasn't in my case!! :)
