Hi, I have finally talked my Nan into gettng a hearing aid. Could anyone advise where the best place to get one is. Also if anyone has advice on which type is the best - I am a complete novice at this!!

You need to get a referal to the audiology dept
at your local hospital , so the GP is the guy to
see , I think all the hearing aids on the NHS
are now digital ..but do take a while to get used
too as they pick up all the back ground noise .
Hope your Nan gets on ok with them .

Thanks for the info - she did try the NHS but there is a waiting list. My uncle gets married in July which was what finally persuaded her to agree to get one! Once again - thanks for your help.

I went to Specsavers because they do a 2 for 1 offer and I've found they give a good service. I don't know if your aunt would be able to get any made by July though!
