My friend had bowel cancer 6 years ago - and is clear now. Her insurance was 220 per annum but did not cover the cancer. she has now had a renewal for 580 !! this covers the cancer, but she does not need this. Can anyone help her to find something cheaper - without cover for cancer ? I also had cancer 4 years ago and am covered by my bank for travel insurance - they cover my heart defect, but not my cancer - which is ok by me - nothing is going to happen i 3-4 weeks - it's not like appendicitis or anything similar.

The Post office also give you a number to ring on your form if you have /had any health problems. They were very helpful when I had to ring them last year and the prices were good.

Thanks to you both I have passed on information.
I can no longer get an annual policy - only trip by trip - but have found the Help the Aged policy to be very good. For example - with pre existing conditions (COPD & Stroke) they charged me 59.22 for 16 days to Costa Rica and Saga had wanted 120 for the same trip!!! For a week in the US Saga wanted over 300 but Help the Aged charged under 60.
