I have been booked in for an ovulation blood test to see if I am ovulating, however I have been booked in 3 weeks after my period started but I thought ovulation was 2 weeks after my period started?

Confused now!! Thank you

Ovulation is 14 days before your period starts. If you have a 28 day cycle you'll ovulate on day 14. If it's a 30 day cycle you'll ovulate on day 16 and so on.
nicky.........the blood test is to see of you are ovulating at ALL not when you ovulate. Ovulation brings forth a surge in a hormone called progesterone and this is in high levels in the bllod AFTER ovulation to prepare the "bed" in the uterus hopefully for the ferilized ovum. The blood test will measure the amount of progesterone that you have ANYTIME after or IF you have ovulated.
No ovulation....no baby.
