Hi All,

I need to get the following done and would prefer to get them done in one place;

1) Electrolysis

2) Eye lash dying

3) Eyebrow threading

4) Possibly a bikini wax - (Depends on how brave I'm feeling)

I would like to go to somewhere reputable within the central or south east London area but I would also like somewhere that does not charge a complete fortune, (I've had three of the above done several times and can't believe the difference in pricesin some places). Does anyone have any recommendations?

Cheers
China

DIY cheapest! Check web for cost of materials add cost of training of technicians, cost of premises etc.....get the picture?
hi china, why not try the local colleges they charge peanuts compared to the salons!!!
How wonderfully fortuitous!

I have a special room below my house, just for such occasions. What time shall I book you in for? Im cheap.

Hi china.

I agree with puddicat. My friend's daughter is a trainee beautician and her college is always complaining they never have enough "models" to practice on. The last time I went there I had my eyelashes dyed and some individual false lashes applied....for the princely sum of 2.
Hi! mrs_0

What did your husband say "2? you were robbed"
What's eyebrow threading?
Lottie, threading is where they twirl a bit of cotton around the hair then yank it out. The ancient Egyptians used to to do it.

Squad, Mr O was only upset I'd spent 2 cos he says I'm gorgeous enough as it is! lol

BTW, I was looking through some old photos and I've found a brilliant one of Fred S in the 1970's dressed in a tutu and tights. When i fathom out how to work our new scanner I'd upload it for you to have a look.

Sorry to digress China. xx
Ouch, I'll pass on eyebrow threading. It would take about a week to tie threads on each individual hair and yank it out, surely!!!
Lottie, they thread the cotton around several hairs at once, not individually.
It still sounds painful lol
Oh, I see (I think?)

What is the advantage of threading eyebrows. Surely it's easier to pluck them or wax them!!??
I guess some people might have a reaction to waxing, so threading is an alternative. Plucking only deals with one hair at a time so if you look like Noel Gallagher your eyebrows could be done quicker.
It's not a problem I have as when I was young the fashion was to overpluck eyebrows, and they've never grown back, grrr!
I never went along with the plucking out eyebrows thing Mrs O. As a result I still have quite nice eyebrows that are a good shape. About the only thing that is OK about my face though!!!!
You might well have googled this already but it might be helpful:

Also, if you get your hair done in a salon they might be able to do you a deal, so to speak. The salon I use also does beauty therapy and has offers / discounts now and then when booked with hair cut
And no this post doesn't atall make you sound like a hairy mare, I'm sure you're lovely ;-D
mrs-0 thanks, but don't forget to contact Christine.

Good Lord thank you all... I shall have a peruse and do the stars thing this evening. (Despite the link I suspect Nataliemay well have forfeited hers ;0)

Threading is incredibly painful but I prefer the look as it's more accurate and less messy.
This is not an answer, just a comment on threading. I had my legs done in South China 9 years ago - I had never heard of it before. Maybe it's coincidence (or age!!), but the hair grew back very slowly and with a very fine texture. Now I only need to wax very, very occasionally.
I didn't find it all painful.
hi. we do all these in our company (except electrolysis) which is placed in oxford road in mancehster near the university. for more info check out: www.brazilianwaxingcompany.com
