Ok, so my brother (24) has been going out with this girl for 4 years and nobody in the family likes her. What can we do? We try to talk to her but usually she comes in the house and doesn't talk. She also dumped him cos he didn't have a job. She flirts with everyone. I'm worried he is becoming dependent on her. What am I, or my family meant to do? I don't want to hurt my brother as he means the world to me, but she isn't good enough for him.

Just be there for him if the relationship fails.

We've been trying to treat him with respect for choosing her for the past 4 years. She treats him like crap. She tells him to meet her somewhere and he does. Clicks her fingers and he appears. He has lost so much confidence since he got made redundant, I'm worried that she is controlling him. She tells him what to think and he thinks it. It's ridiculous, like you say he's a grown man.

Sad thing is he'd choose her over us any day.

Is it a surprise that he'd choose her over you? He loves her, that may not be the best thing for him. But only he can make that decision.

Just let him know you are there if he needs you. It sounds like he may need you soon, but telling him his choice is wrong will only push him away.

I don't mean just me, I mean the whole family. And yes it is a surprise. She treats him so badly it's terrible to think he'd choose that over our family.

I'm not forcing him to leave her, and I've told him numerous times I'm here for him whatever happens. Just tonight, the way he treated our mother, because of lies that she had said, I'm reaching the end of my tether of biting my tongue about his girlfriend.

I'll ignore anything legend says as he has something personal against me, which is pathetic tbh. He thinks I need a life? I've a good life thanks. I think he needs to get of AB for two minutes to experience real life. He needs to know real life doesn't happen in front of a PC screen bless him.

ur brother hasn't got a lot to offer any woman if he's redundant - be grateful for a woman who 'takes him off your hands'. As for choosing her over his 'blood family' - that's what people do in relationships, you'll do the same sometime!

He does have a lot to offer. To some people, unlike yourself, money is not everything. If you loved someone, you would not dump them because they were made redundant. If you did dump them then that makes you look materialistic and greedy.
