Just wondering if any of you can recommend a kit/solution that really works. Something that's not too expensive but actually has visible results... not just the placebo ones. Something that's available from Boots or something.
Thanks in advance.

This isn't the answer you're waiting for but I've found eating apples and drinking coke are 2 cheap and enjoyable ways to clean your teeth.

I heard that the natural acid in fruit is really bad for your teeth.. it strips them of enamel, and the colour in coke would only stain, when I want to whiten them.
I'm sure you already know emma, but further to cocc's post, drinking coke (& other fizzy drinks) can rot your teeth, so I would't use that as a tooth cleaner!

My dentist told me to eat less fruit - I used to eat lots of apples and pears - because it was ruining the enamel on my teeth.

If you want good results you will have to pay your dentist - nothing over the counter will give the results you want
Crossed posts emma! ;o}

Our dentist has just sent us reminders for our 6 monthly check ups. They were also advertising teeth whitening at 300 - 350. Might be best to phone your dentist (even tho' they'd try to deter you), or ask in pharmacy for a recommended home kit.

Good luck.
Crossed posts with Ethel too.

Fruit can also ruin the enamel, so if & when you do eat it, wait a good while before you brush your teeth!
More so with citrus fruits - that's what my dentist told me!
Crest whitestrips are brill, but only available from USA or online.

Thanks guys... so these whitestrips... what were the results like?? And where online can I get them?
Sorry for the late reply I was busy yapping elsewhere. lol

They were good and I def saw an improvement even tho my teeth are not that bad to start with.

The onlt thing is that you have to leave them on for 30mins. The taste reminded me of when cornflakes go all gushy when they have been left in the milk for too long.

But you can get them from the crest website, or just search on goggle for them.

That's ok! :)
Thanks for that, I don't really think the taste will matter when you're gonna get whiter teeth as a result.

I'll go scurry off and take a look at the site

Thanks for the help
In a product test recently, the Boots Expert tooth whitening system came out top with 10/10 - it's about 28.

The Crest whitestrips is supposed to be good but even after only one use they gave me incredibly sensitive teeth - so I wasn't able to continue using them. From reading on here I don't think I'm the only one that has experienced this sensitivity
