I have always had dryish skin under my eyes and at the minute, very dark circles. i have been down and a bit stressed but my eyes look like a panda's . I sleep ok and don't drink tons, keep fit etc.
I saw a Gok Wan programme that said the dark circle creams don't work. Is there anything i can get to give them a lift...personal recommendation rather than an advert please.
any help gratefully received...oh yes and I'm over 40 lol

I use Touche Eclat by YSL, it is the only product I have used that covers the dark circles adequately without wearing off or looking obvious. It is fairly expensive but if you shop around online you can find good offers.I buy mine here:

or here:

The appearance of dark circles under the skin is just a collection of blood. I suppose you could try one of those cool pack eye masks.

Other than that, you can use concealer and as Daffy mentioned Touche Eclat seems to be the popular product for this problem
Yep- i agree. I paid a fortune for some cream i forget the name of, but it was rubbish. Touche Eclat is the best xx

could also be genetic, does your siblings or parents have the same problem?

No-one else in my family has the dark eyes, I'll try the touche eclat, I've seen it in Superdrug.
Thanks
Don't know if it's any good for dark circles, but given what Velvetee says, haemerroid (sp?) cream might work. Make-up experts and models swear by it for puffy eyes.

Obviously, keep your tube exclusively for the purpose.
The haemeroids(sp) cream works for puffy eyes but does nothing for dark circles.
I suffer from dark circles under my eyes too and nothing seems to cover them. I've been using Liz Earle Eyebright Lotion. It doesn't make them disappear but I've been using it daily for a couple of weeks and it has definitely improved the appearance enough for Mr Aprilis to notice the difference.
Thanks, Daffy. I wasn't sure.
Be careful with the Touche Eclat if you have sensitive skin, I had a really bad reaction to it which lasted a couple of weeks, and apparently this is very common with TE. Definitely do a patch test first.

Back to your original question, a while back a magazine I read got members of the public to test products and give their opinion on them. One of the products was creams for reducing undereye circles (not puffiness or bags).

The one that came out top was Korres Eyebright cream, out of the 100 that tested it only 1 said they did not notice a difference in the dark circles!
well, natural has always been my mantra. I had a horrible case of dark circles, i wud apply a pack made up of sandalwood, cucumbers, and rose water. It worked wonders for me. U too can try it out, do refer to this article for more ideas...

Dark Circles No More® is a dynamic serum that addresses the two main causes of dark circles in the eye area which in turn reduce darkness. This revitalizing fluid targets an accumulation of melanin and dilated blood vessels that release heme, the cause of a visibly dark appearance.
