Has anyone used this? I used it a couple of months ago and cannot believe how spotty it made my skin. I get the odd spot anyway, but this made my face erupt in nasty boil-type things that took weeks to go. I thought it was supposed to clear my skin not make me look like an acne-suffering teenager!

Sounds like you've had an allergic reaction to one or more of the ingredients. Hypo-allergenic isn't non-allergenic, so it can happen. Read the instructions to see what it says about that, and possibly contact Boots in any case - they like to know these things.

You could confirm the reaction with your doctor, but since it's cleared up now, there'd be little he or she could do until it happened again.

It didnt feel like an allergic reaction, there was no rash or itchiness, just literally like i had suddenly got acne.

It must have been that product because I have never had my skin look that bad before, and it cleared up once i stopped using it, although it still took weeks for the spots/boils that had appeared to clear up.
Well, just a reaction then and not necessarily an allergy. Clearly most people don't get this (and, I suspect, shouldn't), or the law would be down on Boots like a ton of bricks and the product would be withdrawn. These things happen - certain products, certain individuals react to and can't use. Aloe Vera, for instance, is supposed to be good for eczema. Only it makes my son's ten times worse.

Like I said, it could well be worth telling Boots about this. There may be something they can do to change the formula if others are reacting in a similar way, but if you don't tell them, they won't know about it. At the very least, you may get a gift voucher out of them as compensation.
