I'm going traveling for five months and have wavy hair that gets frizzy and ringletey if left to dry naturaly. unfortunately I have become over dependant on the straightening irons for a quick hair fix, but am leaving them behind obviously. Does anyone know of a product that will straighten or calm my hair down without having to use any electrical appliances afterwards? (my hair is thin and shoulder length)

The new Sunsilk styling products are for this and they are really good. I think it is Sunsilk Smoothing.. they do shampoo, conditioner, and a smoothing cream for after you have washed your hair. They are in the purple bottles and at a reasonable price too. The woman in the advert says she wants straight sleek hair without going to extremes (then it shows a hot iron) ..I watch way too much tv! Enjoy your travelling!
You can also have your hair professionaly straightened, it's usually done on afro hair and you don't say whether this is the case for you or if you have european hair or are mixed race. Where are you based? Might be able to help with salon etc, be prepared to pay about the same for a perm though...
