I have a big problem with retaining fluid as much as 4lbs overnight and feel bloated like a balloon and miserable, I know that Salt / Sodium have lots to do with it, has anyone had experiences of cutting these down to help the loose the water weight ?

Any please could someone clarify the salt / sodium riddle ?

1. Am i looking at salt or sodium ?
2. How much should I be cutting down to - to lose the water ?
3. What if a label only lists salt ?

cheers

Adults shouldn't really be having more than 6g of salt per day. Do you eat a lot of ready meals? I know they're very high in salt.

Isn't salt and sodium the same thing?

No I never eat ready meals......

Cook from scratch every night, but come to think of it I do eat 'bits and bobs' that contain salt....sodium is a more broken down version of salt I think.......not sure og the formula ? Someone will know ...
It could be salt, or it could be wheat. I cut it out almost entirely and lost about 5lbs within a week.
