Has anyone tried it, does it REALLY work?

I seen it advertised on QVC this morning and i am not convinced he isn;t just telling you what you already know about losing weight............eat less, exercise more.

I haven't tried it but I agree that he is telling you the obvious i.e. eat less, exercise more, give me all your money for this dvd!!! Personally I think there is something a bit creepy about him!!

Yeh, He looked really smug on tv this morning. and i remember watching a bit of his show a while back but got bored so ordered a pizza.................ah hem

No, i just think its him making money telling you what you already know.

Hey, quick response Chickadee..............you as busy as me at work huh?
Not sure about it as I haven't ried it, but a friend of my hubby was quite overweight and he used it (I think) and a part of what he learned was not to eat to live, but to enjoy!

He was encouraged to eat a meal by putting fork down after every bite an chewing food really well. It took ages to eat, but in the end, he would be satisfied with eating less (as brain was able to tell he was full) and had a better attitude to eating!

He's skinny now!

So I guess its all about breaking old habits,

andrea81 How long ago did your husbands friend lose weight and has he kept it off easily?

My opinion is only an initial one from what i seen of him on tv etc but i am open to change my mind if it has proved successful..................................your husband isn't Paul McKenna is it? Hmmmm sneaky tactic. Ha
It was a few years ago, I think my hubby saw him again after a few years and still feels the same about it.

Stil thin, but he never went back to overeating!

He swears by it because it took the issue out of NOT eating, rather that he eat differently!

Something Paul McKenna said this morning was other diets concentrate on limiting certain foods if not barring them altogether which culminates in the 'dieter' instantly wanting the forbidden food making it more desirable and then there is more chance of over eating the wrong foodstuffs. So rather than putting any limits on food he says only eat when hungry, eat what you want n only eat til full.

Ok so thats the basics, chew food lots, place fork down in between. So I wonder what he was charging 40 odd quid for? Is there so much more to it?

Are his cd's full of theraputic voices chanting n repeating over n over -"you are not hungry" "you are not hungry" "you are not hungry" Don't mean to be scepitcal....i just wonder what people are spending there money on.
QVC does offer a 30 day money back guarantee if you don't feel it has had any effect in that time. So no loss if it isn't for you. They have also just started showing customer reviews on their website www.qvcuk.com . Might be worth having a look to see what others have said about it.
My wife and her friend have both used the Paul McKenna Confidence CD - to great effect. My wife's friend did try using the weight loss one but started obsessing about food.

I quit a 30 a day smoking habit due to hypnotherapy as well - though not through a Paul McKenna programme but a private hypnotherapist.

aprilis did you check the full terms and conditions that ertainly exist,

basically don't rush your meal eat healthy and in normal quantity perhaps feeling satisfied but not bloated, take exercise like walking places ?
I haven't tried Paul McKennas weight loss, but for the past thirty six years I have experienced Mrs Thelands cash loss.
If you want to lose cash, just hand it to Mrs Theland and I assure you it will be gone in a jiffy!
I have lost 2/5 stone just by cutting out processed foods and cooking everything from scratch, I swear once you see what you put in its easy, most fats are hidden. Also when I eat processed foods now my mouth gets really dry from all the salt, its really works.
