im marrying a thai girl soon....have been with her 3 yrs...i travel there 3-4 times a yr..she has been over here i uk for 6 mths on hol visa......anyway i was in barbers other day and as usual the girl brings up the topic of hols and stuff...i told her i was just back from thailand...why? bcause i have a girl over there...next question- wot age is she? ffs i felt like telling her to fcuk off there and then......like why do all these small minded dim wits think we are beasts or sumit...my girls 30 im 39....it bugs me...also the same small minded priks think u are only being used for money...yes i spoil her as i wud any other girl...i mean, why do people especially girls think like this?

it is an unfortunate fact that people will immediately jump to the obvoius conclusions .. and, as thailand is featured heavily in matters of sex-tourism, and child prostitution,not surprising.
you and your partner seem to have developed a very good relationship and it can only be a good thing that you have liberated her from the dreadful life she was leading.
bottom line - if you talk about her to others you must be prepared to hear some 'jump to conclusion' remarks - it is up to you to either dismiss them or politely put people straight.
the alternative is not to discuss it, although i get the impression you want to talk and are not easily embarrassed.

I will agree with a couple of the others tho -some people are narrowminded and would immediately jump to the conclusion that she was basically using you.I didnt and dont think that way -life is short so you go enjoy yourself and keep talking about your lovely lady -why not?
