If someone cut off your eyelids, could you still go to sleep?

I guess there must be a way, as it was on tv about that little girl who nearly burned to death in a house fire (due to her mum falling asleep with a cigarette in her hand) and she had her eyelids burnt off, but her dad has to put her eyedrops in every few minutes so her eyes don't dehydrate. The same happened to that young girl who was in her car and a drunk driver smacked into her and her car blew up, again she now has no eyelids. Would be interesting to find this answer out as the reason we blink in the first place is to keep our eyes hydrated
hello i am not a hundred percent sure but my cousin sleeps with his eyes open sometimes x
Some people do sleep with their eyes open.
the reason that we blink is to not only keep our eyes moist, but it also cleans the eyes. it is actually possible to sleep with ur eyes open, but i imagine its very difficult
When I sleep talk/walk I often open my eyes, but not sure if I am technically asleep or in some weird inbetween state...
Yes you would have to sleep, you just would not get much "shut eye":)ouch.
If someone cut off my eyelids(which could never happen) I would have to kill myself. For the shame of loosing eyelids cut off would be to much to bare. There are many places in southe east asia, and to a lesser extent Miadstone in Kent where Eyelids cut off is reguraly played in dirty backstreet alleys. A growing scene is emerging of eyelid cutt off gangs. There will always be a place for Eyelids cut off in my heart. -Remeber Mongo
