Which famous people have you seen or met? and how? also what were they like?

i myself have only met a couple.. i met comedian Ross Noble after one of his live shows last thursday and i have to say he was exactly how i imagined him to be, he was lovely and seemed like he had time to talk to everyone even though it was really cold and late.
i've also met David Mitchell & Robert Webb after one of their live shows, they were also really nice.

I have met Jodie Picoult (author - "My Sisters Keeper") at a book signing and she came across as being really nice.

Well this is going back a bit and some of the younger members may not know of all of them but the late Matt Munro at a health club, The Peddlers at Harrods, Sarah Brightman outside the London Palladium, Horse riding with P.W. Botha in S.Africa and finally Cliff Richard when he called into a night spot where my band was playing after he had finished his concert for the night. There are others I have seen in the street but it's not quite the same!
Years ago I won a contest to be the guest (with a dinner jacketed hubby) of the London Evening News to the premiere of Robert Powell's 39 Steps. After the film we were taken to the party. Dined with Robert Powell and wife Babs. Some of you young ones wont be the slightest bit impressed but I met a very quiet Jess Conrad, Bill Maynard who kept us all laughing, and Oliver Tobias.

I was introduced to anyone I spotted. I met Roy Dotrice and members of his family who were lovely, Gerald Harper, who wasn't, but my favourite intro was definitely the late and great Sir John Mills. He stood up to talk to me and we chatted about his films for a while. All that and profiteroles too.

Queued when newly pregnant and sickly to meet Charlton Heston at a book signing. The man wore a quite stunning gingery toupe. Meeting idols can be a bit disappointing.

Met (and been kissed by) Michael Flatley. Not a great fan but my friend was a groupie and I went with her.

The late Mike Reid.

I once farted infront of Carol Vorderman, when she looked at me I just smiled and said "One from the bottom Carol"

that sounds suspiciously like an excuse to make that joke elvis ;)
Ok...I lied....I farted and she said "eurgghh"...so I said "Vowel please Carol"
I have met LL Cool J (very cute),
Kelly Rippa (soap and sitcom actress-currently co host of a morning chat/talk show) She was very sweet.
I met Wonder Woman Linda Carter, and 3 NYC mayors. Was kissed on the cheek by the current one, Mike Bloomberg.
I stood next to the comedian Alan Davies at the Comedy Cafe in London.

I used to know Gary Rowett (played for Charlton Athletic) and his wife until they moved away a couple of years ago. Very nice couple indeed.

I used to go to school with footballer Paul Allen.

Met Jimmy Greaves at Stansted Airport. He was a gent.

Sat in traffic opposite Victoria Beckham driving a BMW Z3 in Bishops Stortford. She was wearing the statutory baseball cap pulled down low. Beckingham Palace is just up the road from where I live.

Saw Jessie Wallace (Kat Slater) in my local Co-Op and spoke to her. She looked at me like I was a nutter!

Saw Kacey Ainsworth (Little Mo Slater) taking her child to the loo in a garden centre. She realised that I had recognised her and she got really irate. If looks could kill...

I saw Michael Barrymore and Leo Sayer at different times in a pub in Wapping years ago.

I met Bobby George (darts player) at a pub owned by Terry Venables in Leytonstone. He was an arrogant tw@t (BG not TV).

My Dad was guiding Prince Charles around a building redevelopment and he spoke to me rather unexpectedly. He was lovely and very down to Earth.

I stood next to Judith Chalmers when she was doing an OB at the wedding of Charles and Di.
Oh yeah, I queued next to Simon and Yasmin LeBon at a football match at Wembley and saw that bloke that plays Vernon in Corrie outside Hilsborough footie stadium.
Aprilis,..is Beckingham Palace actually in Sawbridgeworth or Harlow Mill?
Jade Goody and her ex, Jeff Brazier used to live not far from me, so saw them around a fair bit.

For those of you old enough to remember him, Nick Kershaw's kids go to the school where I work.
It's Sawbo Elvis, but just a little up the road from Harlow Mill.
Are you familiar with the area then Elvis?
Yep, I live in Hetfordshire...just off the A602, I work on the railways and I often have to walk the railway track which runs behind Beckingham Palace
I have met dozens of musicians - I write for music magazines, and some celebs, I also freelance for feature mags.

Most impressed with Roger McGuinn - I was interviedwing him for a feature on the Martin guitar designed for him, and he demonstrated it by playing and singing part of 'Mr Tambourine Man' and it dawned on me - this is a legend of music playing one of his band's biggest hits, and there is only me here! Fantastic!

Linda Lusardi - who was gorgeous and sweet.

Sam Fox - who was neither.

Paul Weller - he was rude and walked off.

plus dozens of drummers and guitarists, as i write for specialist magazines involving both.
You probably know Van Hages then Elvis. That's where I saw Kacey Ainsworth.
I met Bryan Ferry once. He was lovely
Yep, I nearly bought a house just down the road from there....where abouts are you then?
