I do about 150-200, reps of 15 about 4 normal situps (keep head up don't let it fall on your chin), 4 sideways elbow to opposite knee, 2 reverse and then whatever else i can manage... i'm getting a nice flat tum and i've been doing that for about a month. also you shouldn't do them everyday - i know it;s annoying cos you feel like you'll get a flat tummy quicker but you won't, when you do exercise like sit ups or weights, your muscles tear and when they mend that's when you get the tone (sounds dodgy but it's true) but if you keep tearing them everyday and never let them repair, you'll never see the benefit.
oh and don't use those cacky ab roller things at the gym as they're not good for your back and neck and you;ll do about a million before you even start to see an improvement, without it is better.
you should not be doing exercise that will tear your muscles, if you are this will not lead to toning just injury. The confusion that tearing muscles might be good for you, probably develops from gym meatheads refering to their muscles as being or getting "ripped" - this means well toned and defined and not actually ripped. But regarding ab exerices - as this is one of your strongest support muscle groups they recover from exercise very quickly, i would recommend daily exercise on the region if your committed to getting a six pack but rather than setting yourself a number of crunches etc to do try setting yourself a time period ininitailly say 20 minutes and as you improve increase the intensity / hardness of the exercises you undertake. It should also be mentioned that you should not exercise the abs intensively without also exercising the back as well, as this in time can unbalance the body e.g. develop poor posture - try some dorsal raises; to do these lie on your front put your fingertips to your temples and then lift the top part of your body from the floor, you should feel this working all down your back but to a greater extent towards the lower back... good luck and i'll try looking for a website that illustrates some good ab workouts for you
I do 1000 sit ups a day, eat strawberrys all the time (there also good if you want pearly white teeth) and drink plenty of water!

I get by on a couple a week!
You do sit-ups all the time and eat 1,000 strawberries a day? Seriously though, are strawberries beneficial? I just bought some today actually.
Hey indiesinger, i dont eat 1000 a day! lol i do 1000 sit ups a day. i prob eat around 2-3 boxes of strawberrys adya, its my lunch :o) seriously though they do wonders and they are really good for your teeth im always being told ive got gorge teeth, i havn't been to the dentist in about 5yrs and never had a brace!
So maybe your teeth are just naturally perfect? Lucky person. but actually does anyone know why teeth tingle? coz mine have been for 3 DAYS!!! some1 said it could be that i need to drink more milk, but that sounds like an old wives tale. i don't know, it could be valid. Ne1?
There could be a few reasons, are you brushing your teeth at least twice a day? are you eating far too many sweet things? are you getting enough dairy products? the only thing i suggest is the dreaded... go to your dentist ;o) heehee
