have you tried going on the contraceptive pill? Supposedly this lowers PMS (although I personly didn't find it helped, but everyone has a different response I guess)Aswell as this mild exercise is supposed to help too. Hope this helps!
Just an afterthought but if you are already on the pill you could try changing brands.
Try the contraceptive implants- 6 months at a time no pms. But also do get yourself checked over at a GOOD wellwoman clinic, and say you are concerned about endometriosis. PMS is a symptom of this(as well as other things, so dont get paranoid) and if you do have it it is MUCH better to catch it early.
i used to be out of action for about 5 days a month because of horrendous periods; i'd always throw up, be depressed, in massive pain, get anaemic and sometimes black out. i was diagnosed with something called dismennorea (not sure about spelling) which is just having really heavy periods from hell. it was such fun! i'm now on a highish dose progesterone only pill and don't have them at all (woohoo!) which can happen for about half the women on it. it is also ok to take the normal pill without a break as i was doing that before going on the pop. talk to your gp? as they can give you special anti-inflammatory painkillers called mefanamic acid or naproxin (naproxin's stronger) which really helped and talk about the pill. there may be a doc at your surgery who knows more about this sort of stuff than others. although they will probably refer you to a gynaecolgist to rule out anything really nasty. also they can be worse if you are very overweight (which i was) or have diabetes (which i have). hope this helps. xx
little pixie, not sure of your age so this might not be appropriate. I entered hormone hell when I became perimenopausal, got a gel implant called depo provera from the doctor which sorted things nicely for 4 years
I gave up smoking, took up exercise and after a huge amount of stubborness on my part, my Dr prescribed me Mefanamic acid which really has chamged my life vis a vis the puking and cramps. i refused to go on the pill. I still get the moods though.
