yes.....well done to you!!!
Good on ya jammiedodger. :-) well done

Once a year in Leicester we have something called the walk of life which raises money for a local childrens hospice, Rainbows. Its 15 miles and 3 years ago i did it and it gives you such as buzz to know that in some small way you are helping. I'm definitely going to do it again, maybe next year.

I applaud your achievement and physical stamina but I'm sorry for the laboratory animals that Cancer Research UK use in their fruitless search for a cure for the big C.
Well done jammiedodger - I did mine a couple of weeks ago.
Babz - whilst I realise that you may have ethical concerns with regard to testing on animals, please spare a thought for those who believe that the search for a cure for cancer has not been 'fruitless' - that treatment has indeed moved on a great deal over the years.
I feel very sorry for people who have cancer and for their families, my own mother died of liver cancer and it was horrendous for her and for us but my point is that research has been going on for many many years and no cure has been found so all those animals have died and so are we still. Quest Cancer Research and Dr Hadwen Trust also seek cures for cancer but without using animals. As I said before I admire the efforts of fundraisers but yes I do have ethical concerns.
