I am going to Italy in June but have never flown before and am quite scared of it! I don't really want to take tablets but was wondering what ones I could take if it came down to it, to calm me down?

There`s nothing to worry about flying, it`s crashing you should be worried about

As if I hadn't worked that one out!!! I am hoping I get the bug and become a little jet setter! Lol.

So what can I take then? Perhaps just a bottle of vino will do the trick?
Ruby, you ask "what ones could I take if it came down"? Wouldn't be much point in take anything would there?

PS: I'm sure you'll get some serious replies which will help you.

Thanks Stewey.... I will remember your humour when the wing falls off my plane... should help me through that troublesome time. ;o)
Question Author
Thanks Red. Kalms? I shall have a look.

Its all the thoughts of Italian men that is making me want to get on the plane! That and one of my close friends lives there and I get a basically free holiday. I have been promising to go for years... think its about time I did it.
The worse thing is, if a wing does fall off, you`ve got about 5 minutes before you hit the ground

Cheers Elvis.... well I won't be calling you in my last 5mins.. you can count on that! Lol.. Ok... You might cross my mind.

Which horse you put your money on then? I have 3 e/w. Jack High, Risk Accessor and Silver Birch.

I`ve had a tenner win on Longshanks, even if it loses i`m quids in, while I was in the bookies earlier I found 20 on the floor
i hate flying , but is it worth the anxiety to land in a foreign country,,,,, yes it is,
ive 2 pounds each way on longshanks.
I also found a mobile phone in there but i`m still having a guilt trip whether I should`ve handed that in
Hi Ruby - Try ' Lanes Quiet Life ' Says, to relieve periods of worry, stress, irritability & promotes natural sleep. This is a traditional herbal remedy & it works! I took a couple earlier today so I could have a siesta before going to a party tonight.
elvis, 20 pounds and a mobile phone, did you not think to give it to the staff ? so it could be returned to the owner ?
Question Author
20 in the bookies? Jammy git! I wouldn't worry about the phone.. got to take what you can get in this life.. I would have picked it up and had it! Wouldn't blame someone for nicking mine either... its a nice phone! Lol

Cheers Skyep... that sounds like what I need. I don't want to have to rely on meds though each time I fly!

Why is everyone betting on Longshanks? Thought Joes Edge was the fave? Got Cloudy Bays and something beginning with K in the sweepstake at work. Dad has bet on Bally Cassidy!

Nah sod that Crete! Keep it!

My horse is in he lead! Silver Birch
Crete...done that once before, only to find 2 weeks later the bloke I handed it in to sold it to my mate, as for the 20...fook am I handing that over, finders keepers
elvis , you know that 20 pounds may be required to feed some children ?
If the 20 was to feed some children, why did I find it in the bookies and not Tescos...smartarse
Question Author
Good answer Elvis.... If you had found it in the Job Centre then maybe you should have felt slight guilt but in the Bookies.... no worries.

I put 4 each way on Silver Birch and it won! What's that.... about 150?
