This is a seriouse question. I am not being rude, so please don't think so this is just a something posted by a weirdo, it is not. I just wanted a scientific answer to part of my college project to do with anatomy of the body. I'm sorry if I have upset anyone with this question. Thank you.

Strange thing to include in an anatomy project for college. I could understand if you were looking at it from the legal point of view. In what context are you going to discuss a woman raping a man?
I agree, alijangra. It is more of a law question than an anatomical one?

A man has to be aroused in order to 'perform' and I suppose this is why it isn't/wasn't considered possible for a man to be raped by a woman. However a woman could be accused of sexual assault..which is still a law rather than medical subject..
This question was aked on 'tfproject', have a look at this lot.

It is possible as far as I'm aware....
The boy I am seeing at the moment, swears blind his psycho ex was basically raping him. He used to scare him half to death, she would manage to forcefully get him erect but he used to fake it to get her off him. He was only 17 at the time. So yeah I reckon its possible.

I'm sorry if I caused offence by asking this. It was just that I was curoiouse from a scientific point of view.
Yes it is physically possible but not legally I think, I am fairly certain a woman cannot be charged with raping a man, I imagine it would be sexual abuse!!

By the way. I don't watch Corrie, so what happened?
No offence taken this end :o)

Rape

(1) A person (A) commits an offence if-

(a) he intentionally penetrates the vagina, anus or mouth of another person (B) with his penis,
(b) B does not consent to the penetration, and
(c) A does not reasonably believe that B consents.
(2) Whether a belief is reasonable is to be determined having regard to all the circumstances, including any steps A has taken to ascertain whether B consents.

(3) Sections 75 and 76 apply to an offence under this section.

(4) A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable, on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for life.'

A strap on would not be a penis, it would still be some sort of sexual assault. In America a woman can be charged with raping a man. Lots of things other than sexual arousal could cause an erection, I would have thought that maybe using viagra to drug a man might cause the laws to change.
If you watch the most recent episode of Desperate Housewives, then yes its possible ... there are both male and female psychos out there, only I'm not sure whether the trauma suffered by the man would be equivalent to that of a woman ?? I guess I just haven't heard of many cases of this happening so its very uncommon I think...
Seduced, yes: raped, no.
As Goodsoulette has indicated, under UK law (Sexual Offences Act 2003) the strict definition of rape is non-consensual penetration with a penis. Therefore the offence of rape can never be committed by a female.

There is however another offence "assault by penetration" which would cover the scenario of a female attacker.

...oops - submitted a bit early there.

"Assault by penetration" - a female attacking a male/female whereby penetration of a sexual nature occurs by means of any object or body part .

Any other type of sexual attack by the female would be "sexual assault".
As mentioned by everyone else there is no UK provision for a man being raped by a woman, but physically it is possible, see lots of nasty experiments the Nazi's did on prisoner's regarding erectional function, so yeah possible physically but amazingly not covered under UK law.
So I guess the answer to your question would be a big 'yes' Aura!

Of course this is in the medical sense, not the legal one ;o)
Oooh! You should watch the film 'Disclosure' with Demi Moore & Michael Douglas. That film covers this exact subject.
Of course you'd have to find a man who wasn't up for it first!
