Hi All. I am just recovering from a bad water infection and the doctor took a urine sample to send away for analysis - the results have come back as 'Negative'. My question is, if I had something wrong with my Kidneys or Liver, would this have shown up in the results? - Many thanks for your replies in advance.

Depends what analyses he asked for... could have been for protein, sugar (unlikely as you can test for it then and there) or cultures for bacteria..best suggestion is to ask the doctor.

I gotta go back anyway in 2 weeks. If I want to find out if everything is OK with my Liver and Kidneys, is that the way they find out normally?
That or a blood test. The fact that your doc only requested a urine test probably indicates that he doesn't think there's anything very nasty going on
