I think it might have different effects on different people, but apparently it would have made you suddenly very chatty and you would have felt more alert, awake and confident. On the down side: clenching jaws, depression the next day together with general fatigue both probably due to lack of sleep. There's a good site the government has published on effects of drugs - can't think of it now, but will do some research and get back to you.
Despite what loads of people say the reason most people do drugs is cause they make you feel fantastic (Before anyone starts going on, Yes I know you get hooked and they ruin your health I'm only talking about at the start ok) and with coke you tend to get a cocky, very sure of yourself attitude as Dave says (this is why it's the drug of choice with city dealers) the big bad side effects come later on when your addicted and need to take bigger hits to get the high.
I tried it (once only) with a friend. Neither of us could discern any change in ourselves or our behaviour. We both suffered hangover effects the following morning.
We won't be bothering again.
As Robin Williams said - "Cocaine is nature's way of telling you you've got too much money." Failing that, just two words should advise you of the path to take with coke - Daniella Westbrook. Nuff said?
'Snuff said, Andy.
Part 1 --> It can give you a tremendous confidence boost. It does make you feel good, as many drugs do. You are unlikely to feel any bad effects if you have never used it before and you only take a bit. Everything in moderation. I have never experienced any bad effects. Despite popular belief, cocaine is not addictive, but the psychological feeling it gives you can be. I suspect that if you aren't relaxed or if you've had a certain amount of alcohol, it may appear to have no effect (like many drugs can). Alcohol can often mask the effects of other drugs. The dramatic effects of cocaine such as making your nose fall off are not going to happen to someone who uses it in moderation. I believe that life is about experiencing things, so long as you don't harm anyone else in any way. I would say that if someone wanted to try it, they should follow this advice - stick to small doses, 1 gram in a night (about 8 lines) is the maximum that anybody should be taking (probably less for women) and half a gram should be enough really. Remember how much this stuff costs (it's probably not worth the money actually but people are naturally curious...), don't get into the habit of buying it every week. It should really be saved for 'special occasions'. NEVER use it in any situation other than social. If you come to rely on this stuff for your work or just day to day life, you're in big trouble. One cocaine session every 3 or 4 months is a great deal safer than every weekend.
Part 2 -->It's all about your attitude to drugs and whether you are able to administer some self-control. I've seen 30 year olds who've taken it every week for 10 years have to be rushed to hospital because their hearts have given up. Cocaine can put an enormous strain on the heart. Like ecstasy, people can be allergic to cocaine and can therefore be killed on their first use, but the chances are about 1 in a million (literally) I believe. Unlike ecstasy, the 'good' effects of cocaine only last about half an hour, which is why people have to keep going to the toilet for a snort to top up. Of course, never take anything you can't afford to pay for. The price of coke usually restricts most people on how much they buy, or leads them to opt for ecstasy instead, being cheaper, longer lasting and generally accepted as safer (although the long-term effects of Ecstasy are largely unknown). Whatever you decide, IF you do wish to try something, make sure you trust the person you get it from. All street drugs can be mixed with all sorts of dangerous stuff. It's important that at least one person knows what you have taken, just in case. Remember, Crack cocaine is a very different animal. Most of what I've said doesn't apply to Crack, and personally I wouldn't touck it with a barge poll. The same applies to Heroin. I don't see these two as recreational drugs, I see them as pure evil in a syringe (or whatever). If someone reading this does decide to try taking something (which I of course wouldn't advise seeing as they're all illegal), then remember what I've said about moderation, that is most important. Daniella's nose fell out because she used 3 grams a day. That should last the average person a year in my opinion. Use common sense, be safe and have fun. Sorry if this has sounded a little preachy!
Drugs is not the problem; The 1st drug problem is 'waiting'. the 2nd is quality the 3rd is risk of danger from cops and criminals. [like there's a difference]. Top drugs advice; "If it's not available in Tescos, Don't do it." :-)

What you would have experienced is the desire for another line and then another and another and another and another and another and then sex!
I'm with 3s_a_crowd - tried it once, did nowt for me one way or the other. The hangover the next morning was probably just that, as we'd been drinking booze as well. I'm sticking to booze and dope.......
I agree with gtrevor. Loads of it and you just want to f**k all night. Its a drug that can either make u or break u. Makes people cocky/ self assertive and can make them drone on an on so much u just wanna say stop. Coke is for the rich, it can make u very powerful or break u. there's a thin line between when to say enuffs enough or cross the line and kiss your career byebye
thin line.. i get it TRINITY. :-)
