Forget diets and medication, just keep your mouth closed except to eat small portions of healthy food. The majority of people eat far too much. Try loading your placte as for a 'normal' meal, think about it all in your stomach, then stop eating a quarter of the way through. You'll find you are no longer hungry. Also could try a glass of water before eating. It's just eat less!
There is no easy way to lose weight! If you eat more clories than you burn off, you will gain weight. If you eat less calories than you burn off, you will lose weight. The answer is to eat more foods which are low in calories e.g. fruit, veg, fish, lean meat and cut out those which are high in calories e.g. fatty foods and foods which are high in sugar!

gef- is that meant to be funny if so i must of forgot to laugh but here goes ha1!!!
i need to loose weight and when i went to see a dietician i realised i dont eat enough! i needed to eat a bigger breakfast, bigger lunch (obviously a healthy diet) and a sensible evening meal and nothing after! its not as easy as saying eat less, excercise more! you need to visit a dietician and go through what your eating pattern is and where the problems are - i asked about fat burning medication that i could take, but i was told it didnt work, and that to loose weight and keep it off i had to change my way of looking at food.
Apologies edelooze. I'd had a hard day at work trying to explain the diiference between mass and weight to my pupils. Silly of me to answer like that.
Just look out for the saturated fats. I think it is about 4g of saturated fat per 100g of the product you are eating. It does work.
