For some time now i get extremely hot at night. My temperature throughout the day is normal i am neither too hot or cold. When i 1st get into bed i am fine but then sleeping throughout the night i get so hot it's unbearable my husband says he can't sleep next too me and can't touch me it's like i am on fire. I have to sleep with the bedroom window open. I don't get sweaty or anything just boiling hot. Starting to think maybe i have got early menopause?? (i am 28) Tried to do a google search, no luck really.. anyone got any ideas other than go to Dr's???

Thanks

Keep your feet cool and you tend to find the rest of you will be, if i'm too hot i tend to have a fan on and maybe put one of those cool and soothe sheets on.

How about sheets which feel cooler such as silk like ones?
i am the same i think its the weather its far to warm for october i spend half the night with the quilt thrown off i even get out and have a walk round to cool off some nights
Becca - could you see your Doctor to see if maybe your hormones are out of whack or something - I have never had "hot flashes" but my sister says if you ever have you will know it because it is unlike any kind of hot you have never had before - like fire pouring all over you. I don't think there is a set age for menopause but 28 does seem really young - it may just be a hormone imbalance or something - surely the Doctor will know.
im finding this too it maybe the weather, im freezing cold all day then i get into bed and wake up with my neck soaked with sweat its horrible waking up hot puts me in a right mood lol! but also try sleeping without socks on and sticking a foot out of the blankets this really does help alot sounds silly but it does work. Maybe you could sleep with just a light sheet over you?
How about getting an ice pack thing which doesn't get wet on the outside, have in in the freezer in the day then put in in a hot water bottle cover or similar for night time, say rest your feet on it?

You can also get cooling sprays or get a nice moisturiser in a spray, I have a nice Simple Baby Body Lotion one, keep in in the fridge and spray overnight if needed so you get lovely soft skin as well.

Cooling gel eye masks are good, again you can put them in the fridge or freezer.

I find having long hair makes my neck worse so try and keep it up with a hairband i can tuck the rest of my hair into so no uncomfortable clips to lie on.

The cool sheets you can get (2 for 99p in Boots for their own brand) are also nice on the back of your neck).

Running cold water on the inside of your wrists is also meant to help.
