i was asked to attend another trainers training session (job seekers stuff) for 18-24yr olds. i was absolutely disgusted at the trainers attitude. he allowed swearing, sexual discrimination,(the material he was giving out to these young guys was disgusting towards women), racism (they used words which were totally inappropriate in the street never mind an open plan office!!) and they openly discussed drug use and women use!! (if you know what i mean) i was sent over to interract and 'learn'.plus the trainer used the same language and verbal abuse! anyway, being fairly new to the company which is about offering a service to get these guys motivated and into work.....i promptly responded my going to the Operations Manager and reporting him and his ways!! eek.....was i right? i certainly hope so....is all we can offer these guys....i think not!!! sorry, but ive had a **** week because ive opened a can of worms....but i think they deserve more than that!! what do you think?

Can I ask what the manager said. Mine said if I`m speaking to you as a friend you`ll drop this. If I`m speaking to you as your manager I`ll have to take his side.

his manager (my new manager-eek) has been off on holiday all through this. my ops manager seemed concerned and we had a long chat. she agreed he doesnt know what he is doing and that when she went over to evesdrop ( i had warned him she was coming so as i was honest with him!! big mistake!!), she couldnt hear or see a problem!! she asked other staff in the office and no-one backed me up (even though its open plan to the public and the language is despicable!). anyway, i was sent back today and nothing had changed....honestly, the boys were even discussing a 'gang bang' and worse and the trainers turned a blind eye. im at my wits end knowing where to go, i even said to my boss that if that was the level of training and support we were offering then i didnt want to be part of that and i would resign. she just laughted it off basically! im disgusted.....we are supposed to offer training, motivation and support to young people looking for work..good one!!!
I was training special needs catering and trying to run the canteen for the other 80 trainees . This particular person was at the laundry site taking pictures of some trainees topless. The outcome was that I was bullied out. The catering department closed,I am still affected to this day by what went on and we are talking 15 years ago. On the day I left he said "one of us had to go and it wasn`t going to be me". I hope you have a better outcome.
Can you cite an exact example please, as I'm a little fuzzy on what exactly has been said/done, as one person's definition of unacceptable may be another person's perfectly ok, and at this point ( although I'm not saying your over reacting) you seem to be the only person whose having a hard time with this, so it would help for you to be as precise as possible when telling us.
