Not necessarily, although there may be a genetic tendency in some families. I'm very mildly dyspraxic, but was born with the cord round my neck, which can be a cause. No-one else in my family has dyspraxia. Have treated dyspraxic children in my job, and have found that physiotherapy can make a fantastic difference to their quality of life. Unfortunately, it's not always readily available.
I am researching into it for my ma and posed a question with some answers, try searching dyspraxia and my self
