Please help, I really feel like a hypricondriac at the minute. I've never had anything but a mild headache in my life, But for a few days now I have a really weird headache and its getting me down. Its in my right temple, and when I move it gets worse. Even when I was sleeping last night and turned over in my sleep, the pain shot through me. And again, when Im walking its worse. Its there all the time and really getting me down.

But what makes this headache weirder, is that it tseems to travel down the back of my nose if that makes sense (it doesnt to me) and I don't know if I'm imagining it, but my right temple seems a bit more swollen than my left.

Im 6 weeks pregnant (although dont think its connected). And had a viral infection last week.
Thanks in advance

I have an appointment this afternoon, but until then I thought to seek some reassurance or advise from the AB.
I have done a google search and it keeps coming up with migraines, but I dont have any other symptoms, like aversion to light etc.
Its probably a blocked sinus, especially if you had a virus last week.
As peapod suggests, it does sound like a blocked sinus. I suffered with this type of pain before, down my nose, and above my eyes. A decongestant (spelling?) usually helps, but as you're pregnant, I'd wait to get your doctor's advice. Either way, strange head pains shouldn't be ignored, and you're doing the right thing. But it sounds like a course of pills will do the trick.
TopCat it is your sinuses, I had these symptoms two weeks ago, one day the pain was so bad in my right eye I got an appointment with the optician. There was nothing really wrong but I had a tiny ulcer on my cornea due to wearing contact lenses while having a cold.
The pain has subsided now however I can still feel it first thing in the morning.
Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information available at http://tinyurl.com/q8696
