I have a sensitive question, and wasnt too sure were to put it. But when I was pregnant with baby number 1, I got piles. The lump never went away (and that was 2and a half years ago) Although it was always there it never bothered me, no itch, no pain. But I am now 5 weeks pregnant with baby number 2, and I'm getting slight, sharp shooting pains up my bum. Could this be piles or something to worry about? (I also have to state, I got shooting pains up the other as well, but put it down to pregnancy as I would get those when I ovulate also).

I have an appointment with doctor next week, but need a bit of reassurance over the weekend. Thank you so much in advance.

Hi TopCat.I have never had the misfortune of piles in my life but I understand that they can be very painful. Can you possibly give your doctor a call and ask to speak with him on the fone today??
try not to worry Topcat, I have piles and the shooting pain does happen with them.
hi topcat,
my brother suffers with piles, sometimes he can go for months without symptoms then without warning they suddenly flare up.he to says he can feel a lump even when
they are not giving him any trouble. i would say you are worrying unduely, but never the less i would just get reassurance from the doc.
good luck.
