Is there a limit to which a child should/could jog,,,,,my 3 and hubby have taken up boxing,they done a 3 mile run yesterday then back for the sit-ups etc,,anyway,my 8 year lod done it too,her legs are aching this morning,,well,,,they all are,,but is it too far for her do you reckon,,,she done it no probs but dont want her doing it if its gonna cause problems later on,,,am i just being paranoid,?????Thanx!

You're lucky she's fit enough to do it. As long as it's at a pace that she can handle i'm sure she'll be fine. Just make sure she has good running trainers with shock absorbers to prevent any joint problems when she's older. Fair play to her.
I really don't know "officially", but my little girl whose 8 comes running with me every day and has done for a couple of years now. I have always told her to tell me when she's had enough and not push herself too far and she seems to have suffered no ill effects, nor really would I expect her to as when I was at School we were doing distance running by 10 if I remember, but they keep changing their minds about things so it's hard to say what the "official" viewpoint is on it.My older lads have done it too since they were a similar age and they have no joint problems etc.

brilliant,thanx,didnt want her doing it if it werent good for her,actually when they got back last night,she wasnt even panting,,i'm going tomorrow with them so expect a post on here tomorrow night,,,,lol,,gonna kill me,,,
