I really don't know "officially", but my little girl whose 8 comes running with me every day and has done for a couple of years now. I have always told her to tell me when she's had enough and not push herself too far and she seems to have suffered no ill effects, nor really would I expect her to as when I was at School we were doing distance running by 10 if I remember, but they keep changing their minds about things so it's hard to say what the "official" viewpoint is on it.My older lads have done it too since they were a similar age and they have no joint problems etc.
