Hi, does anyone know what TIR is? A family member has just been diagnosed with this and we're not really sure what this means for him! He began with chest pains and progressively over a few hours had slurred speech, loss of feeling (on one or both sides?) and felt faint? Any help would be great!!!
He lives in the middle east so it's not possible to contact his doctor, could it be a condition known as something else in the UK?

TIA

transient iscaemic attack.
If you mean TIA, which is a form of stroke, then you should look at the following site: http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/tia/tia.htm . He or she really does need to be seen in hospital. I wish them well.
Mum had them for years and it affected short term memory loss
