You can say all you like about me but one thing I am is forgiving.I have had a few ABers apologise for their behaviour since coming on this website and I have forgiven all of them.If someone had done something terrible to me all they would have to do is say sorry and I would forgive them instantly. However I think most people find it hard to forgive so I was wondering. Are you forgiving?

Yes I am a pretty forgiving person - if somebody apologises to me and genuinely means it then I will let bygones be bygones. But if anybody hurt or upset any of my family or children - god help them!!

If anyone hurt any of my family or loved ones and they were genuinely sorry I would forgive them. What is the point in hating someone?
I'm with PinkFizz. I think it depends on the crime.
I try to be and sometimes i am, but No, not really! Think it boils down to being stubborn to be honest, if its someone i really love then i can be too forgiving though if that makes sense!

I hold grudges and will never speak to someone ever again if they do something nasty to me! there are two people who i will never speak to again, one my dad, and two my ex best friend.

but that doesnt make me horrible! honest! ;o)
I'd like to think that most of us are with PinkFizz on this one, but there are limits.......certain things are unforgiveable but we should learn to live with it and not let it fester.
yes i would and have forgiven many people in my lifetime, life is too short to be bitter and twisted, true forgiveness sets you free to enjoy life again.

devilwoman exactly.
Yes I am very gorgiving but then you've never apologised for your mistakes towards me.
*forgiving*
I am all for letting bygones be bygones..however that doesn't mean that I will let you get away with it time after time ~ you will get a tongue lashing if you deserve it ;o)
Sorry..that sounds pervy!
to me sorry is just a word my ex would beat me up then say sorry and expect me to forgive him, for me you have to earn forgiveness like they say actions speak louder than words, and if someone shows me they are sorry then i will forgive them.
I meant if anyone deliberately hurt my family - not by accident.I would forgive an accident,
This is precisely my point, loopyc. There are always exceptions. If you forgive somebody time and time again eventually youre going to realise that its pointless. There are plenty of other examples, Im sure. However, devilwoman also makes a valid point in that you should not become bitter and twisted as a consequence. It is possible to not forgive and also not to hate. *BIG HUG* to loopyc.
totally agree with loopyc. sorry can b used too loosely. but i'm a bit of a door mat and am very forgiving most of the time. but there r times when sorry just isn't good enough xXx
big hug back at you goodsoulette, and to everybody else xx

This is not about you forgiving me this is about whether you are a forgiving person.I don't think anyone can say they are forgiving if they pick and choose who they will forgive. To be forgiving you must be willing to forgive ANYONE even if they murdered your child.
And it was going so well......
zipadeedoooooo
Question Author
What the hell can be wrong with that? This time I AM in the right. There have been loads of people who have forgiven their childrens murderers.I would
