I am interested in taking a course in beauty therapy. Is there a school which is well recognised, sort of the Oxbridge of beauty therapy, or is it just a matter of being qualified? Thanks.

any college that offers nvq level 2 upwards should be fine. there probably is an 'oxford' beauty school out there but if you can get to the same level at a college down the road then do it that way. they do look for experience though so working while you study would help alot when you pass.i done it and loved it but didnt carry it on, but now i know several beauty therapist that i can go to that dont charge me. he he he. good luck.
