lavender oil is good for diminishing scars, a pen lid?

Bio Oil reduces the appearance of scars permanently - it is available on ebay and I am using it at the minute.

Other than that you could try some heavy body makeup formulated to cover scars

Vitamin E capsules split and rubbed into the scar are supposed to work.
Generally Vitamin E cream is the perscribed method but thats generally only really effective when the scar tissue is relatively new. Boots also did (and may still do) some strips which could be placed over scars to make them heal better.

Having said that I think you shouldn't worry about covering it up.
I've used Bio-Oil for acne scarring with great effect. I don't know how effective it is on keloid type scarring though (you said in another post that the scar "sticks out") but I do know that you can buy Elastoplast Scar Reduction dressings, which might be useful for this.

I think all methods do take time to have an effect, though. x
