Hi all, can anyone recommend something to take for stress? It's not really bad and I think it's just temporary - I'm buying a house on my own - but I'm finding it difficult to relax and it's starting to affect my relationship (which is only a couple of months old and should still be fun, fun, fun), then I end up worrying about that, which makes the whole stress thing worse. Just need something to break the cycle. Thanks.

It's not for everyone but I find yoga really helps me relax and wind down.
kalms are said to be helpfull you can get them at any chemist and ive seen them in tescos too, good luck with the house.

Rescue remedy is good for short term stress (like say a driving test) and St Johns Wort is good but it might be a couple of days till you feel any different - I swear it works instantly but that's probably just me. And excercise, even just a 10 min walk can work wonders and comedy dvds -always good.

Put some music on and dance like you're 5 years old ha ha (don't know what's up with me I'm on a roll!!!)

We are just about to exchange contracts on our move, waiting for a date, the house is full of cardboard boxes & I feel like POO.So I totally get where you are coming from asteroid99.The house we are living in just does'nt feel like mine anymore,so cannot relax when I get home from work.

So the Bex family would appreciate some tips too, before I am commited!!!LOL!!

I too can totally empathise - we have moved 7 times in the past 5 years - the last time in April to Spain with 3 children in tow! All the suggestions so far are great - Kalms are good, rescue remedy and St Johns wort are great too. Yoga is fantastic for stress and dancing works for me every time. Going for a walk, meditation or just a night out with friends will help to. Good luck with the move - Much love and light Amara xx

Thanks for all your replies. It's weird - everythings going smoothly if a little slowly with the house, theres nothing to actually worry about, but I just find that I'm generally on edge and when I'm with my bf I can't relax and enjoy things bedroom-wise, then I get wound up about that, which then makes it worse! Think I'll try the Kalms or rescue remedy see if I can't chill out and get my groove back!

Are you feeling any better asteroid99?

Let us know how you're getting on :-)
