I googled for the answer to a crossword puzzle and found AB .. haven't looked back !
I was hosting a girly evening and was googling up party games and came across this site. That was a couple of years ago and like you have been hooked ever since. I just love that way you can always find someone who's been there, done it, got the t-shirt. This way you don't have to learn by your mistakes and can learn by others'. Personal experience is crucial advice I find.
I'm gonna blame my addiction to AB on Waterloo Road (Brilliant Series but who sung the soundtracks)
I googled donnas wedding dress on emmerdale and found AB and have been a fan ever since! Only trouble is, everytime I think I will sign out and go to bed, another question catches my eye and so on and so forth.... off to bed now tho!!!! :)

I googled a question and up poppd this site - totally addicted now!!

My friend used to use it. He was 'the.dr'.... and he told me about it and said I should join. I did and now I am hooked. This was back in June'05.

I think most people on here found it by Googling.

xx

Ya I goodled also.. I was looking for something to do with a medical issue and along came B&S ... Glad I found it!!

I googled 'red devil salad dressing'

Found AB but still no dressing!

Was Googling for something entirely different. Came across this site, spent ages ploughing through it absolutely fascinated. (I must be curious about other peoples' problems! ). Anyway, completely forgot about about my original enquiry and have been coming back like a true addict ever since. Since I don't do tobacco, drugs, etc and am not a spendaholic, I reckon I'm allowed one innocent vice.
I heard about it on Steve Wright In The Afternoon (Radio 2), on Website Of The Day, in September 2002.
I found it about a year ago, I was on a different site and someone had put up a link to a question on here in the food and drink section. I used to spend so much time on here I considered suing the person who put up the link lol
I knew about AB through Times Newspaper (London). There was a reference to AB in one of the paper's articles and I was curious enough to look it up and then ...BINGO! Here I am....

anniebar, never let it be said that AB failed. Here's a good Red Devil Salad Dressing:

1 medium head garlic
1/2 large onion
salt to taste
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 large red bell peppers
1 large portobello mushroom, chopped
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 tablespoon fennel seed
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
ground black pepper to taste
4 cups mixed salad greens

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to broil. Position rack in the center of the oven. Lightly oil a baking sheet.
Cut off top of garlic, place on a square of aluminum foil. Drizzle with 1 teaspoon olive oil, and sprinkle with a pinch of salt on top. Wrap in foil, and place on baking sheet. Prepare onion in the same manner.
Place baking sheet in the center of the oven, and bake garlic and onion for 15 minutes. Place red bell peppers on sheet; broil for 15 minutes, turning to blacken all sides. Remove peppers only, and place in a brown paper bag. Place mushroom on baking sheet, and broil for 15 minutes. Remove mushroom, onion, and garlic from oven. Set vegetables aside until cool enough to handle.
Peel and remove seeds from peppers; place in blender, discarding seeds and peel. Squeeze garlic and onion from skins; add to blender, discarding skins. Coarsely chop mushroom; add to blender along with remaining olive oil, lemon juice, fennel, ketchup, and vinegar. Blend until smooth. Season to taste with salt and ground black pepper.

Double or triple the recipe and keep it in a covered Mason jar in fridge for future use (or not)...
