joby1, is he the insecure type?

Because you're obviously only coming online to find another man, preferably one who lives in some backwater state in the US or ooo ooo better yet one who's on death row.

Why men think we'd have an affair and have two of the beer swilling, belching, nether region, scratching hairy backed neanderthals begging to be treated like children from us is beyond me!

LoL BOO :)

Sounds a lil insecure and jealous to me joby... not sure quite what the best advice about it is though unfortunately.

If he is playing games all night instead of playing with you, sneak off out to the nearest pub and you can ask all the questions you like from the local lads.He probably won't miss you

What Boo says is true. There is so much hype and strange stories about the internet, that some people believe that this is what it is all about.I bet if your husband did a survey on the people who use this site, he would find that most of us are perfectly "normal" people who ask questions about gardening, and whether we have heard the first cuckoo of the year. I have been given advice on mobile phones and knitting patterns.

One bit of advice for you, don't let him get interested in this site or he'll be addicted and you won't get the chance to get near the computer.

when was the 1st cuckoo of the year then?

I'd question what he gets up to when he's playing games online - if he thinks you're up to no good then he obviously knows the possibilities of communication via the web!

Or, it could be so innocent that he's just itching to get online and you're using the PC instead!

maggie01 told us about her first cuckoo in a posting on 6th April in Animals and Nature. I'm still waiting.
Bless you joby1, I really feel for you. I once went out with a bloke who would accuse me of trying to impress/shag men, if I washed my hair before I went to work!!! To have those kind of insecure thoughts eating away inside of you must be terrible.

sispence, well i never, you learn something everyday?

Joby, why don't you show him these postings?

Soz, did'nt give you much advice there.

maybe your hubby is feeling a bit left out and guilty ?
I do know ppl who have met online and married or just met online and had affairs .
Maybe your hubby has only heard horror stories and is feeling a bit left out .
Ask him to register with AB and he can see for himself that your only having a bit of harmless fun to fill your days , instead off watching crap daytime tv shows .

Errr if you do show him these postings, it may be wise leaving out my Death Row internet buddy post, it might put ideas into his head he hasn't thought of!

lmfao Boo !!
Sorry ... but does he read ' The Sun ' ?

At the end of the day,i think it all boils down to trust. It is probably that your husband is just the untrusting or jealous type.

Is there anyway that you could both sit down together one evening and go online together so that you can reassure him that all you are doing is passing your time doing something you enjoy.

As someone else has said maybe you could show him the posts on here..and hope that it puts his mind at rest a little

.

all the answers so far have been very jolly, but this sounds slightly worrying to me. Does anyone under the age of 50 really think the internet is full of nothing but unfaithful wives getting off with cyberlovers? Sounds as if he's very insecure indeed, or else very possessive about either you or the computer. Either way, I think he has a problem he may have to sort out. Getting nasty because your wife's on the computer is not normal.

Oi matey, I'm under 50..........way under, thank you very much!

<stomps off>

well that's what I meant BOO - older people sometimes believe what they read in the Mail about the wicked internet, but most people your age know that's rubbish. So if joby's man really thinks she's up to something just because she's in front of a computer screen, he's a bit odd. (Assuming he's under 50, of course.)
